Uniting team consensus and creating a brand-new future!
NTCU held a two-day consensus camp from September 1st to 2nd, 2023. All top-level administrators and academic leaders participated in the camp for reaching a consensus on school development and creating a brand-new future.
On the first day, President Kuo, Bor-Chen delivered the opening speech to present the NTCU’s current situation and future goals. President Kuo encouraged the team to strive for our core principles of Wisdom, Foresight and Interdisciplinary. With the advent of digital era, he emphasized our goal of transforming the NTCU into a smart-learning-centered, innovative and sustainable teacher training university.
Subsequently, group discussions were in process on various topics, such as departmental strengths, university-wide interdisciplinary bachelor’s programs, promotion of PBL(Project-Based Learning) courses and international cooperation. Through discussions, there were more efficient communication and mutual support among administrative and academic units.
On the second day, we had the honor of inviting Dr. Cheng Yuan-Chuan, the President of the National Academy for Educational Research, to give a special lecture. The topic was to cultivate unit leaders a broader perspective and thoughts. The content was resonated strongly and extensive discussed. Besides, Vice President Huang Guo-Jen did a presentation on “How to Enhance NTCU Research Productivity and Visibility.” He shared his experiences on doing researches and writing media press release in past years.
In the face of birthrate decline, high competition, rapid technological advances, everyone should make continuous progress and improvement. Through diverse activities including special lectures, presentations, group discussions and site visits, the purposes of this camp are to strengthen team coordination and integration, to establish a mutually supportive and shared cooperation platform and to foster a culture of mutual prosperity and excellence in the organization. We hope that NTCU will continuously make improvement and create its brighter new chapter.
