Department of Language and Literacy Education of NTCU Successfully Holds the “2025 Soaring Hawks: The 2nd Graduate Student on Language Education
The Department of Language and Literacy Education at our university successfully held the “2025 Soaring Hawks: The 2nd Graduate Student Conference on Language Education” on August 2, 2025. This conference provided a valuable platform for academic exchange and research presentation in the field of language education, with active participation from graduate students in the department.
The conference was made possible through the dedicated guidance and strong support of Chair Dr. Bi-Xiang Zhou, along with Professor Xiu-Ling Li from the Department of Chinese Literature at Feng Chia University, Professor Ji-Jing Chen from the Department of Chinese Literature at Tamkang University, and Professor Yu-Fu Zeng from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at the University of Taipei. The conference featured a wide range of topics, including literacy instruction, textbook analysis, picture book research, and teaching Chinese as a second language. The four professors provided insightful feedback and professional commentary on the students’ research papers, offering constructive suggestions and encouragement. Their guidance helped participants broaden their academic perspectives and strengthen their research skills.
Through this conference, there has been increased dialogue and exchange between educational practice and academic research, while also laying a solid foundation for the development of language education.
