Distinguished Lecture Series Hosted by the Department of Language and Literacy Education, NTCU Concluded Successfully with Professor Zhu Qixiang as Guest Speaker
On June 30, 2025, the Department of Language and Literacy Education of NTCU specially invited retired professor Zhu Qixiang from Tunghai University as the guest speaker for our Distinguished Lecture Serious. The topic of his lecture was "Ancient Characters in Daily Life". Professor Zhu introduced the ancient forms of commonly seen Chinese characters, using everyday life as a starting point to make this mysterious world more accessible. Step by step, he guided the audience to uncover the underlying patterns of ancient script. From material culture to spiritual life, he deeply engaged attendees, making them feel as though they were reconnecting with old friends through ancient characters. His vivid explanation combined with his exquisite drawing skills created a spectacular intellectual feast. Many of the insights shared knowledge during the lecture were firmly imprinted in the minds of the participants, leaving a lasting impression.
We are honored to invite Professor Zhu Qixiang to tour Distinguished Lecture. With the results of his many years of research, Professor Zhu takes us to witness such a magical world and see the wisdom of the ancient times. At the same time, it also connects it with the modern times. They are no longer two separate situations. The experience left everyone wanting more – as always, joyful moment pass swiftly.
