The Department of Language and Literacy Education holds a series of exciting activities. We cordially invite all faculty and students of our school to participate.

The Department of Language and Literacy Education at our school is committed to cultivating students' language proficiency and teaching abilities. In recent years, we have actively organized a variety of activities and invited experts and scholars in various fields to share their experiences to expand students' horizons and improve their practical application skills.

In line with the development direction of graduates this year, a special seminar on "Tips for Interview success" will be held on April 1 at the Concert Hall of Qiuzhen Building. We have invited professional lecturer Cindy Chang, who is currently a corporate advisory consultant and career development planner, to share how to show your best strengths in an interview and provide valuable test-taking strategies to help students enhance their competitiveness.

Our department is also working with the College of Humanities to promote the "Chinese Language and Literature Credit Program" to help students build a professional foundation in Chinese language education. A course introduction briefing session will be held on April 8. In addition, we are organizing the "11th Jixue Lecture" on May 13 in the calligraphy classroom A301 on the third floor of the Administration Building. We are honored to invite well-known scholar Professor Wang Caigui to give a lecture. The theme of this lecture is "Reading Classics - 'Great Language' Education". Professor Wang will delve into the concepts and values of classic reading education, exploring its key role in language learning, and sharing how to cultivate language sensitivity and deepen cultural literacy through reciting classics. Faculty and students who are interested in Chinese language education are welcome to participate and explore the breadth and depth of Chinese language learning.

The annual children's drama performance was held on May 15, 2025. The theme was "Friendship" and the performance was divided into 4 groups. Each group of students will develop the theme and extend the plot. It not only provides students with a valuable opportunity to perform in the theater, but also teaches them that perfection must be based on the spirit of teamwork. Through continuous practice, they will ultimately be presented the best performance to the audience.

In terms of international exchange and professional academic development, the department will also host the "2025 8th Global Chinese Language Education Forum." The forum will be held on June 21 and will invite experts and scholars in Chinese language education from native and abroad to discuss the latest trends and developments in Chinese language teaching, providing valuable exchange opportunities for students and the academics.

Through these activities, our department hopes to strengthen students’ professional knowledge in language education, enhance their teaching skills and international perspectives, and inspire their future career planning and development directions. We sincerely invite all faculty and students of our school to join us in this event, to learn and grow together!
