12 Pre-Service Teachers Completed an Overseas Internship Program in Public Elementary Schools in Japan
English Department associate professor Yueh-Nu Hung led twelve pre-service teachers from four different departments and graduate programs on an overseas internship in Asahikawa, Japan. During the 15 days of the internship from September 1 to 15, the group visited Asahikawa City Hokko Elementary School, Hokkaido University of Education Asahikawa Campus Affiliated Elementary School, Higashikawa Elementary School, and Hokkaido University of Education Asahikawa Campus. The school visits, classroom observations, and English teaching demonstrations helped these pre-service teachers develop teaching professional competencies and international and intercultural experiences.
