The 10th International Forum of Classics-Reciting Education Successfully Held at NTCU.
The Department of Language and Literacy Education at National Taichung University of Education successfully hosted the 10th International Forum of Classics-Reciting Education on May 18-19, 2024, at the Qiu-Zhen Building the Concert Hall and the Lecture Hall. Since its formal introduction to the public in 1994 by Prof. Wang Cai-Guo, classics-reciting education has gained significant momentum worldwide. In an effort to deepen the theoretical foundation and promote diverse practical exchanges in classics-reciting education, the Department has organized nine previous forums since 2010.
This year's forum, marking the 30th anniversary of the promotion of classics-reciting education, focused on the theme "Reflections and Prospects of Classic Reciting Education." President Bor-Chen Guo highly praised the Department's dedication to this field and encouraged faculty and students to further establish it as a distinctive feature of the Department. He also expressed hopes for the ideas and practices of classics-reciting education to be disseminated throughout the nation and other countries all around the world.
The forum featured scholars from South Korea, Malaysia, Mainland China, and Taiwan, who gathered to share research findings and engage in academic exchanges. With the enthusiastic participation of classics-reciting education practitioners and the Department's faculty and students, the 10th International Forum on Classics-Reciting Education concluded successfully.
